New photos from Fallujah - Day 7

I was able to spend another day outside the wire today with CPT Rankin and COL Stewart the new Marine commander of Camp Fallujah, and CPT Rankin's direct superior.

The primary purpose of our mission was to introduce COL Stewart, who has only been here in Fallujah a week, to the local Sheik and to the manager of the local water treatment plant.

The water treatment plant is currently broken, and engineers from Camp Fallujah have been working to help get it working.

I spoke with Eric today and it is raining really hard. Therefore, his satalite link is not working well (I think the reason there are multiple entries of the same thing might be related). Anyway, I am guessing that the photos are not out there becuase he could not get the satalite to work well in the rain. Just speculation...

Eric,
Great job I'm finding it extremly interesting. Having trouble getting on line try the guys in motars. Wireless, no waiting, would like some pictures of them in action for this tip. Say hi to Sgt. Steve Luitjens (St.Cloud) from his dad.

I can't thank you enough for what you are doing, Eric. I find myself rushing to my computer each day after work to catch the newest entries and photos. Of course, I am looking for my sons, but I enjoy seeing all of the guys whether I know them or not. I guess it's that feeling that we are all one big family. If you have a chance to visit with Spc. Sam or Spc. Joe Dinsmore tell them "hey" from the "old woman" aka mom.

Great job, Eric. Lots of people are glued to your site including us. Sorry about all your technical difficulties. Good luck sorting them out. We'll look forward to seeing you back home where we can get all the details and photos first hand!

Chris Muir is the cartoonist that I met in Kuwait. He spent two weeks in Iraq at the same time I was there in February 2007, and so thought it would relevant to showcase his work on my site.
